Originally from Colombia, she pursued her dental education both in Colombia and the United States, bringing a unique blend of expertise and cultural understanding to her practice. For over a decade, she has been serving the Broward, Florida community, providing high-quality dental care with a patient-centered approach. As the founder of Designing Beautiful Smiles, she believes that oral health is deeply connected to physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and she strives to create an environment where patients feel comfortable, understood, and confident in their care. Beyond her profession, Dr. Rodriguez is an entrepreneur, nature lover, and family-oriented individual. Her passion for dentistry is matched by her love for animals, the outdoors, and creating meaningful connections with her patients. She is dedicated to excellence, always seeking innovative ways to enhance patient experiences while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Dr. Kang is our expert Periodontist. He cares for our patients smiles by performing oral surgery and expertise around periodontics and dental implants. Born and raised in South Korea, Dr. Kang had the honor of attending Seoul National University Dental School, the most prestigious program in the country. Inspired by the fields of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, he went on to receive his specialty training in Periodontics from Seoul National University in 1996. After earning his certificate in Periodontics, he was determined to move to the United States He attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he received his second training in Periodontics and Implant dentistry. As a result, Dr. Kang is the only Periodontist who has completed a periodontal residency in both Korea and the United States. After eight years of his dedication and commitment to the University of Pennsylvania and Nova Southeastern University as an educator and a clinician, he opened his private practice in Fairfax, Virginia. Dr. Kang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and the recipient of several teaching awards, including the 2005 American Academy of Periodontology Educator’s Award. He is a national and international lecturer in the field of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry and an author of numerous clinical articles in authoritative dental journals.

Dr. Patricia Ramirez, originally from Medellín, Colombia, is a dedicated and compassionate dentist with over two decades of experience transforming smiles and improving oral health. With a strong foundation in both Colombian and U.S. dentistry, she has practiced for 10 years in Colombia and an additional 14 years in the United States. After earning her dental degrees in both countries, Dr. Ramirez has focused on providing comprehensive, patient-centered care—ranging from preventive treatments to complex restorative and cosmetic procedures. Her approach prioritizes patient comfort, education, and long-term oral health, ensuring each individual feels at ease and well-informed throughout their treatment journey. Beyond dentistry, Dr. Patty enjoys staying active at the gym and exploring new culinary experiences. She believes in maintaining a balanced lifestyle that nurtures both physical health and personal well-being. Whether she’s lifting weights or savoring a great meal, she brings the same passion and dedication that define her approach to dentistry.

I studied dentistry in Cuba and moved to Madrid after graduating. I worked there for many years, and my patients and colleagues became my family. The winds of life brought me to Florida, where I found the warmth of family once again at DBSmiles. It is a pleasure to help my new patients achieve healthy smiles and to be part of an excellent team.
